1. Scope
These terms govern your use of Caltimate (the "App"), a macOS application published by LIFE SCAPE, K.K. ("we"). By installing or using the App you agree to them.
2. Your licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive right to use the App on up to three Macs that you own or control. The licence key is yours alone. Please do not share it, resell it, or publish it.
3. Free trial
Every feature is free for fourteen days. No payment details are needed to start. When the trial ends the App keeps showing your calendars, and creating or changing events needs a licence.
4. Prices and payment
Prices are shown on the buy page, tax included for Japan. Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically until you cancel; a one-time licence is paid once.
You can cancel a subscription at any time. Billing stops at the next renewal and you keep the App until the period you paid for ends.
5. What a one-time licence covers
A one-time licence covers the major version you bought, for as long as you like, with every fix in that line. When a new major version ships we will offer you an upgrade at a reduced price.
6. Refunds
Because this is downloadable software, we do not offer refunds once you have bought it. The fourteen day trial is there so you can decide first. If the App does not work because of a fault on our side, tell us through the contact form and we will put it right or refund you.
7. If you are a consumer in the EU or EEA
You normally have fourteen days to withdraw from a distance contract without giving a reason. Because Caltimate is digital content delivered at once, that right ends as soon as performance begins: when you ask us to deliver the licence key straight away, you expressly consent to that and you acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal. We ask for that consent at the point of purchase.
Nothing here affects your statutory rights if what we supplied does not conform to the contract. If the App is faulty, you keep the remedies the law gives you, and section 6 above applies as well.
8. What you agree not to do
- Take the App apart, decompile it, or work around the licence check.
- Redistribute the App or a licence key, or use one key beyond the permitted number of Macs.
- Use the App to break the law or to harm other people.
9. Services you connect
Caltimate works with services you choose to connect, such as Google Calendar, Apple Reminders and Zoom. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we cannot promise they will always be available or that they will not change.
10. Your data
Your calendar contents stay on your Mac and in the services you connected. What the App handles, and why, is set out in the privacy policy.
11. No warranty, and the limit of our liability
The App is provided as it is. We do our best to make it correct and dependable, but we cannot promise it will suit every purpose or run without fault.
Except where the law does not allow it, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before it arose.
12. Changes and ending
We may change or stop offering the App. If we stop selling it, licences already bought keep working as described above, and we will say so on this site in good time.
If you break these terms in a serious way, we may end your licence.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Japan. The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance for any dispute arising from them.
If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection given to you by the mandatory law of the country where you live, and it does not stop you bringing a claim in the courts of that country where the law gives you that right.
14. Changes to these terms
When we change these terms we will update the date above. If a change matters to you, we will say so clearly on this site.
